Finnegan was so excited about the new waterpark at Legoland, and talked about it weeks before ever going. When we finally got there, and he climbed the stairs to the red tube slide, looked down the darken tube and decided it wasn’t for him. We played at the waterpark for a while, then visited the rest of the park, and around 5pm came back. I kind of bribed him, I gave him a choice, if he wanted to get legos he had to either ride a roller coaster or go down one of the water slides. He chose the slide.

He was afraid at first, but finally went down, and then proceeded to go down all the slides several times!
Glad my bribe didn’t backfire!

Quinn singing while doing dishes

Quinn helped me do dishes tonight and was wrapping the towel around objects and signing into them like a mic. It was pretty cute, so I had to try to film her while she wasn’t paying attention. Click the photo to play the video.

Whale Watching Field Trip

Quinn’s class had a field trip for the five-year-olds. We got to go whale watching out of Dana Point, and we even saw whales! The kids of course like the dolphins the best. Overall, it was a very successful trip. Take a peek at the video and picts below.

Disneyland and CA Adventure on a Tuesday

We all took the day off on Tuesday and went to Disneyland and California Adventure. It was very fun, and not crowded at all! We did the hopper pass and went to DLand first and spent about two hours there, then spent the rest of our time over in CA. We all had fun, and Mama got to ride the rollercoasters! woo hoo.

Finnegan’s Bike Race Birthday Party

For Finnegan’s 7th birthday we had a bike race. It was kind of cyclocross style. Trying to find a flat patch of dirt that bikes are allow on in Laguna is a bit tricky. I thought I finally found the ideal location, but brothers, Nolan and Griffin both had little crashes. Little kid bike tires don’t handle the dirt so well. Anyway, I think the kids had fun.

First day of First Grade

Finnegan started first grade today. He was excited to go and meet his buddy Mason at the bus stop. We got to the park in plenty of time and were entertained by the sprinklers that were spraying everyone.

Quinn was happy to see her brother off, and then get to hang out with mom all day.
